KINGSTON, Jamaica – Following the formal announcement of the 17 horses provisionally entered for the 102nd running of the Jamaica Derby on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Caymanas Park, Blue Vinyl had been installed as the 1-5 favourite for the blue riband event.
The odds-makers at QUICKGALLOP.COM said they had not choice but to make Blue Vinyl such a short odds-on favourite for the Derby after his scintillating win in the 10-furlong Jamaica St Leger.
Next in line is the 1000 Guineas winner and runner-up to Blue Vinyl in the Leger, Atomica at odds of 6-5. Atomica is the only filly provisionally entered in the Derby.
