KINGSTON, Jamaica – After what maybe considered to be three warm up efforts, Big Laden ticked the win box for the first time in the Caymanas Monday second.
The Caymanas Monday second was a four-year-old and upwards maiden condition event run over seven furlongs.
With Youville Pinnock in the saddle for trainer Fitzroy Glispie, Bin Laden was kept off the pace set initially by Valiant (Linton Steadman). Valiant was pounced on shortly after by Mr A (Chalrick Budhai). At this stage Pinnock had Bin Laden going well but still some way behind the leader.
Mister A entered the straight for the last two furlongs still with the lead but by now Bin Laden was in full stride and the bay colt disposed of all to win by 6 ½ lengths.
Mister was second and Cup Cake (Tevin Foster) third.
