KINGSTON, Jamaica – In a driving finish, Biblical Legend under strong handling by apprentice Youville Pinnock got up to beat the 1-2 favourite Disoa de Oro (Dane Nelson) in the Caymanas Wednesday second.
Diosa de Oro took went to the front when the gates opened with Biblical Legend close up. Pinnock then pulled back Biblical Legend further behind Diosa de Oro watching closely.
Diosa de Oro made a move with three furlongs remaining and entered the straight with the lead. At this time Pinnock took Biblical Legend to the inside rails and started to challenge.
The two, Biblical Legend and Diosa de Oro battled it out with the former getting the better when the post arrived by half a length.
