KINGSTON, Jamaica – The third race of nine on Saturday, August 12, 2023, is a three-year-old maiden call going five furlongs round.
Seven are entered with The Quick Galloper providing a race analysis below.
1 – MORE VIGOROUS is a bay filly (January 17) by Here Come Ben out of Glorious Cause, trained by Rowan Mathie with Chalrick Budhai in the saddle. Note, More Vigorous races with Lasix.
2 – BELLA SOUL is a bay filly (January 19) by Soul Warrior out of Lady Belridge, trained by Gary Subratie with Dane Dawkins aboard. This filly has had a consistent six-race career. Bella Soul will like the distance of five furlongs round, and given the quality of the opposition, she has the perfect opportunity of making it win number one.
3 – ATOMIC ENERGY is a chestnut filly (February 5) by Patton Proud out of Nuclear Girl, trained by Gary Subratie with Richard Henry in the saddle.
4 – TUTS is a chestnut filly (March 19) by Berlino Di Tiger out of Fox Tixie, trained by Richard Azan with Javaniel Patterson aboard. Tuts after an underwhelming debut on March 25, did not race again until August 5, finishing third only three lengths behind the winner Hot Stepper. Having received the benefit of that pipe opener, Tuts given normal improvement is given every chance of winning.
5 – ROARING THUNDER is a grey colt (April 16) by Spieth out of Little Thunder, trained by Gary Griffiths with Anthony Allen in the saddle. Has not shown much in his 19 starts to date. Will have to wait for his time in the sun.
6 – MR WONDERFUL is a bay colt (May 7) by Bern Identity out of Angel Dreams, trained by Patrick Lynch with Ramon Nepare aboard. Still learning the racing game. Note, Mr Wonderful races with first-time Lasix.
7 – JUBBIE WAP WAP is a grey filly (April 19) by Spieth out of Wap, trained by Michael Thomas with Natalie Berger in the saddle. Can be left out of any consideration. Note, Jubbie Wap Wap races with the blinkers on.
