KINGSTON, Jamaica - The third race on Saturday, July 27, 2024, is for locally-bred three-year-olds, non-winners of two, and a maiden for three-year-old foreigners going five furlongs round.
Eight horses are entered with a straight fight looming among the three foreigners in the line-up.
The assessment by The Quick Galloper is as follows, in draw order:
1 - CRYPTOGIRL is a chestnut filly (born on April 18) by Soul Warrior out of Twilight Eruption, trained by Donovan Plummer with Matthew Bennett aboard. It should be noted that Cryptogirl races with the tongue tie off and the figure eight on. Trainer Plummer has made equipment changes on Cryptogirl. The form of this filly has declined in her last three outings after winning on her debut (December 23). Based on past performances, Cryptogirl is a speedster and the five-round trip suits her.
2 - TITAN TEMPO is a bay colt (USA April 28) by Maximus Mischief out of Star of Johar, trained by Philip Feanny with Tevin Foster riding. He demonstrated his well-being the second time out, finishing second, 2 ½ lengths behind Bold Move at six furlongs. Then Titan Tempo was running on, making five furlongs round, a bit too sharp. Yet, he has been moving well in exercise.
3 - FEARLESS FORCE is a dark bay filly (USA March 20) by Anchor Down out of A Merry Song, trained by Philip Feanny with Robert Halledeen in the saddle. She is said to be doing well in the mornings. This first-timer is expected to be in the hunt.
4 - FIRST OFFENCE is a bay colt (born on February 21) by Conquest Cherimash out of Official Report, trained by Steven Todd with Jemar Jackson as the jockey. He has no respectable chance of winning.
5 - RIDE NATTY RIDE is a chestnut colt (born on February 22) by Hedge Fund out of She Is Calling, trained by Dale Murphy with Shane Richardson as the designated jockey. He can be excluded from any serious contention.
6 - UNBELIEVABLE FORCE is a dark bay filly (USA April 19) by McCracken out of Debit or Credit, trained by Philip Feanny with Raddesh Roman aboard. Based on reports from exercise mornings, this foreigner is already a winner. She has caught the eyes of many who are indicating that Unbelievable Force has the speed required to win on debut.
7 - UNDISCLOSDLOCATION is a bay colt (born on February 15) by Casual Trick out of Bilingual, trained by Anthony Nunes with Shane Ellis riding. Note that Undisclosdlocation races with the visor off. He has been steadily making ground in non-two, but needs more time.
8 - AFFAIR is a bay colt (born on May 10) by Casual Trick out of Nuclear Affair, trained by Gary Subratie with Aaron Chatrie in the saddle. He is relatively new to non-winners of two and will come to grips with the situation in short order.
