KINGSTON, Jamaica – Having not raced since August of 2021, Badgyalriri returned and made all in a native-bred five-year-old and upwards (non-winners of two) and imported five-year-old and upwards (maidens) at four furlongs (800m).
Trained by Anthony Nunes and ridden by Tevin Foster, Badgyalriri broke off well when the gates opened, holding the lead ahead of Beautiful Bran (Andree Powell), Gone A Negril (Christopher Douglas), Hopenperseverance (Matthew Bennett), and Stickydon (Harold Benjamin) in the early exchanges.
Badgyalriri stayed with the field for the first part of the race before pulling away to win easily by 9 lengths at the wire in a time of 48.1. Stickydon was second and Hopenperseverance was third.
