KINGSTON, Jamaica – Swooping down from the outside 14 draw in a field of 14, Awesome Choice caught up with the leaders in the five furlong round contest for two-year-old fillies only and then proceeded to hold her gallop well in the stretch drive to win by 5 lengths.
Trained by Steven Todd and ridden by leading jockey Anthony Thomas, Awesome Choice racing with a change of equipment – both the tongue tie and visor off - clocked 1:00.4 for the distance.
Magical Mood making her debut was second with Letters In Gold third.
Both Thomas and his closest rival in the jockeys’ championship have one win each on the Sunday programme thus far.
