KINGSTON, Jamaica – There was little doubt among the QUICKGALLOP.COM oddsmakers which horse would be the favourite for the 2022 – 1000 Guineas. The easy and only choice is the unbeaten filly Atomica, the magnificent winner of the 7 ½ furlong THE PORTMORE in stakes record time.
The one-mile, 1000 Guineas is scheduled to be run on June 4, 2022.
With the clear favourite for this Classic event established, the task of the QUICKGALLOP.COM oddsmakers was to establish the prices for the others expected to provide competition for Atomica.
The oddsmakers have completely ruled out the poor showing of champion two-year-old Golden Wattle in THE PORTMORE. The non-performance of Golden Wattle was deemed to be a one-off, and as such has been given odds of 9-2, as the second favourite.
Moving up the ranks is second-place finisher in THE PORTMORE, Our Angel, whose run-on effort gave what the oddsmakers believe will hold her in good stead going half-a-furlong longer in the 1000 Guineas.
Also, taken into consideration by the oddsmakers is Outbidder, who did not participate in THE PORTMORE.

talented 3 year old ATOMICA ,as the saying goes this one a bat up and ketch. atomica seems very forward in her progression over her other rivals of similar age.she should win the 1000 assumably with ease.jockey Dane 'simple" Dawkings has improved by leaps and bounds as a rider,his confidence
in race riding is now at the tip top of his young racing career as he sets his sights of vying for the title of champion jockey for 2022 and beyond.
