KINGSTON, Jamaica – After running all over the straight, apprentice Reyan Lewis was still able to guide the Patrick Lynch trained El Profesor to victory in the sixth race at Caymanas Park a short while ago.
El Profesor won the 6 ½ furlong event in the Restricted Allowance 111 grouping for four-year-olds and up and non-winners of three other than by two lengths.
The race lost some of its zest with the late withdrawal of the morning line favourite, My Super Girl.
Second went to Sea Swan (Aaron Chatrie) and third was Anna Lisa (Anthony Thomas).
The sixth race was named in honour of former champion jockey, Dane Nelson.
