APPEAL – JOCKEY JAVANIEL PATTERSON vs. STEWARDS’ DECISION
On Friday 17th February, 2022, the Jamaica Racing Commission heard an appeal submitted by Jockey Javaniel Patterson against the Stewards’ decision which was handed down on Tuesday 6th December, 2022 to have him suspended for a period of six (6) race days and the imposition of a fine amount of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00).
After carefully reviewing the film of the race and submissions made by Mr. Javaniel Patterson who represented himself and the Jamaica Racing Commission’s Operations Steward, Mr. Eustace Williams, the Commission ruled that the decision of the Stewards be upheld. Mr. Patterson will commence his suspension period on Saturday, 25th February, 2022.
