On Saturday, January 25, 2025, Aplomb, a four-year-old chestnut filly, achieved her first win at Caymanas Park. Trained by Tensang Chung and ridden by Matthew Bennett, Aplomb excelled in a maiden condition race for fillies and mares aged four and older.

Aplomb started strong, quickly taking the lead over Lady Sarsutta, with Oshane Nugent in the saddle, and Miss Coupersland, ridden by Richie Shakes. As the race neared the dummy rails, Aplomb created a clear margin, finishing 5 ½ lengths ahead of the competition.

Her final time was 1:01.3, with splits of 24.1 for the first quarter and 48.1 for the half over the five-furlong (1,000m) straight course. Lady Sarsutta and Miss Coupersland rounded out the top three positions, but Aplomb was the clear winner, breaking her maiden after eight starts.
