KINGSTON, Jamaica - The fifth event on the card for Sunday, November 17, 2024, will showcase a competitive field of three-year-old maidens racing over a distance of 6 ½ furlongs.
Below is an assessment of the eight entrants vying for victory, done by The Quick Galloper.
- **OH MY GOSH** - This bay colt, born on April 5, is sired by Northern Giant and out of Mom’s Secret. Trained by Ryan Darby, with Calvin Bailey riding, he has made two starts so far but has yet to show any promising form.
- **GALOPIN DE VELOZ** - A chestnut colt born on February 18, Galopin De Veloz is by Sensational Slam, out of Woman Is Boss. Under the guidance of trainer Ian Parsard and with Oneil Mullings in the saddle, this contender will race with first-time Lasix. However, his two previous outings indicate he is still far from ready for a winning performance.
- **RADAM** - This grey colt, born on March 25, is by Successful Native out of Lynnie B and is trained by Anthony Nunes. Raddesh Roman will take the reins. With four top-four finishes from eight starts, most achieved over the straight course, Radam may find the stretching distance of 6 ½ furlongs a challenge, as he has only competed as far as 5 ½ furlongs previously.
- **D BAY MACHINE** - Another chestnut colt, D Bay Machine was born on March 3. He is by Tapilu and out of Lady Elaine, trained by Jason DaCosta and ridden by Christopher Mamdeen. After 17 races, he has yet to show form that would suggest he could secure a place on the board.
- **KENCIA** - This chestnut filly, born on April 29, is by Sunshine N Shadow out of Hija De Reina. Trained by Steven Todd, Samantha Fletcher is set to ride. Kencia, who races with a hood and figure eight on, has faced inconsistencies in her eight outings; however, her second-place finishes indicate potential. With the recent equipment changes, Kencia may be poised to secure a top finish.
- **LINSTEAD MARKET** - A chestnut colt born on April 18, Linstead Market is by Patton Proud out of Royal Beauty. He is trained by Gary Subratie and will be ridden by Richard Henry. Unfortunately, he has yet to show his worth in the market since his debut on May 24.
- **MILITARY LIGHT** - This bay colt was born on April 7 and is by Bold Conquest out of Nuclear Princess. Trained by Gary Griffiths and piloted by Oshane Nugent, Military Light has only one start to his name and is not quite ready to make an impact just yet.
- **LEGEND OF ZARRO** - Born on April 10, this bay colt is by Bern Identity out of Ransomware. Trained by Al Brown and ridden by Tevin Foster, Legend of Zarro has shown signs of improvement in his recent outings. In what appears to be a weaker field, this contender may finally find the opportunity to secure his first victory.
