Former champion jockey Anthony Thomas is scheduled to return to competition at his home track on Ash Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
Thomas, who has recently been based at Gulfstream Park in Florida, sustained a prolonged period of inactivity due to injury sustained in a fall. He has since returned to riding at Gulfstream.
According to the official Overnight for the Ash Wednesday programme, Thomas has secured the following mounts:
Miss Lynton – Trained by Robert Ffrench.
Chief Dissident – Trained by Patrick Lynch (Thomas holds the #2 paper).
Silent American – Trained by Steven Todd (Thomas holds the #1 paper).
Lauren’s Secret – Trained by Patrick Lynch.
Native Flyer – Trained by Steven Todd.
Bangarang – Trained by Peter-John Parsard.
Chief Dissident and Silent American, are both listed in the same race.
Following his Ash Wednesday rides, Thomas is also slated to ride on the Saturday, February 21 programme.
The final programme for Ash Wednesday will be made available tomorrow, Monday, February 16.
