KINGSTON, Jamaica – In a testing encounter 1-5 favourite Sir Arjun Babu with Anthony Thomas aboard was able to hang on after a ragged stretch run to win the Caymanas Saturday third – a three-year-old and upwards Claiming event ($250,000 - $200,000) at 6 ½ furlongs.

From the off, it was a straight battle between Kingswood (Javaniel Patterson) on the rails, and Sir Arjun Baba. The other six runners were always way behind the leading duo.

Sir Arjun Babu took over close to the last two furlongs with Kingswood still in the hunt.

Then Sir Arjun Babu started to drift eventually ending almost touching the outside rails but was able to get the job done by half-a-length. Kingswood was second with Lady Budget (Roger Hewitt) third.
