KINGSTON, Jamaica – Coming from the highly unwanted number one draw in a field of 15 runners over the four straight course, Supreme Authority whizzed across the track as if possessed, hitching himself to the outside rails before going on to score a comfortable victory in the sixth race at Caymanas Park.
That win by Supreme Authority came in an Optional Claimer ($250,000 - $200,000).
It was never a contest as after reaching the inside rails, Supreme Authority with leading rider Anthony Thomas pulled further and further away from the rest of the field to win by 4 ½ lengths.
Second went to Prince Sammo (Reyan Lewis) while the third slot was taken by Schlesinger.
Michael Francis is the trainer of Supreme Authority.
This win by Thomas means he is now 12 ahead of Dane Nelson in the jockeys’ championship.
