KINGSTON, Jamaica – Enjoying the straight like never before Mamacita made it three wins in a row and her fourth in her last five starts in the Caymanas Monday (May 17) fifth.
Mamacita made maximum use of her love for the five straight winning the three-year-old and upwards Optional Claimer (250,000 - $200,000) by 3 ¼ lengths.
The Dennis Pryce trainee broke well and Anthony Thomas who held the reins in his hands immediately drifted from the four draw to the middle of the track.
Galloping resolutely, Mamacita had no challengers and was easy in victory. Smokey Topaz (Youville Pinnock) was second and Big Dream (Roger Hewitt) third.
Mamacita gave her trainer Price his seventh winner of the year and for Thomas it was his second on the day.
