ANTHONY NUNES TRIMS DEFICIT AFTER WIN BY PARAISO IN CAYMANAS THURSDAY 2ND

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Champion trainer Anthony Nunes gained ground on his nearest rival in the race for the 2021 trainers’ championship following the facile victory by the Robert Halledeen ridden Paraiso in the Caymanas Thursday second.

Nunes started the day according to official figures, $1,951,845, behind DaCosta with the win by Paraiso earning approximately $475,000. DaCosta’s lead is now $1,476,845.

The 10-length win by Paraiso was achieved in a three-year-old maiden condition race travelling five furlongs round.

Paraiso and Halledeen went to the lead at the start and just went further and further away for the win. Silver Fox (Daniel Thompson finished second and Traditional Boy (Odeen Edwards) third.
