KINGSTON, Jamaica - The sixth of ten races on Saturday, April 5, 2025, is for maiden three-year-olds covering a distance of 1000 metres straight.
Ten are entered with The Quick Galloper’s assessment of the possible outcome provided below.
1 - UNCLE BABA is a bay colt (February 20) by Conquest Cherimash, out of A Vessel of Love. He is trained by Barrington Bernard with Shane Richardson riding. Uncle Baba is making his first start with Lasix. In his two previous races, he has not shown any promise of winning.
2 - ALCHEMY OF SOULS is a grey colt (May 10) by Spieth, out of Emerald Belle. He is trained by Jason DaCosta with Oneil Scott on board. This colt might only aim for a spot in the top six to earn a payout.
3 - SPARKLING FIRE is a bay filly (April 16) by Bold Conquest, out of Awesome Camille, trained by Omar Williams and ridden by Romario Spencer. Sparkling Fire will race without blinkers and with a figure eight. Her two prior performances have not been strong.
4 - PRETTY SASSY is a bay filly (May 30) by Midnight Hawk, out of Beware The Boys. She is trained by Robert Pearson with Robert Halledeen riding. This is her debut race, and she has shown solid preparation leading up to it. Expectations are high for her first outing.
5 - ALIVE is a chestnut colt (January 4) by Bold Conquest, out of Princess Astrid, trained by Jason DaCosta with Jerome Innis riding. As a first-time racer, he has drawn attention from observers. Good performance is anticipated.
6 - CHASING MY DREAM is a chestnut filly (March 17) by Seeking My Dream, out of Full Throttle. She is trained by Jason DaCosta with Anthony Allen as the jockey. Chasing My Dream will race without blinkers and with a visor. She is developing but could use more time.
7 - FRIENDS CONNECTION is a bay filly (May 21) by Western Warrior, out of Kalamata, trained by Ricardo Brown with Samantha Flecther riding. She is starting her learning process.
8 - ONE CODE is a chestnut colt (January 22) by Patton Proud, out of Sandbath. Trained by Patrick Fong, he is ridden by Evrette Clunis and races without the figure eight. In his two starts, he has not shown significant improvement.
9 - NATIVE FLYER is a bay filly (March 25) by Successful Native, out of Polly Flyer. She is trained by Steven Todd with Dick Cardenas as the jockey. After six races, she is gradually finding her way. She may place in the top positions, making her a suitable option for exotic bets.
10 - I’M OUTSTANDING is a bay colt (April 25) by Conquest Cherimash, out of Wheels of Law. Trained by Peter-John Parsard with Reyan Lewis riding, he has a tongue tie on. In his first race, he finished second, 1 ¼ lengths behind the winner Brahma Bull. He has been performing well in training and is expected to be competitive in this race.
