The recent graduates of the 2024 Jockeys' Training School continue to make a solid impact, highlighted by Tyrese Anderson's victory on Sunday, February 8, 2025.
Anderson celebrated his inaugural career win aboard Sir Ganga Jamuna, trained by Rowan Mathie, in a competitive first race of the day. The duo triumphed in both a five-year-old and up Optional Claiming event valued at $200,000, alongside a six-year-old and up maiden race over four furlongs.
Demonstrating remarkable poise, the young apprentice positioned himself close behind the front-runners: Schlesinger (Robert Halledeen), Crushing Power (Chalrick Budhai), and April Spirit (Richard Byrd). As they neared the dummy rails, Sir Ganga Jamuna seamlessly took over the lead against his rivals within the final two furlongs for a commanding win.
ZD Eye (Tajay Suckoo) secured second place while Fiery Path (Ramon Nepare) rounded out the top three. The race splits were clocked in at 25.1 x 37.3, culminating in a final time of 50.1 seconds.
