KINGSTON, Jamaica – Apprentice Kiaman McGregor made it a 60th anniversary race day to remember after bringing home the Errol Waugh trained Fox Knox in the eighth of 10 races at Caymanas Park a short while ago. This was McGregor’s second winner on the programme.
The five furlong round contest for Restricted Allowance horses five year-olds and upwards –non-winners of three – saw McGregor blazing to the lead from the outside draw on Fort Knox who was never challenged throughout, claiming victory by 1 ¾ lengths in a recorded time of 1:01.3. Fort Knox won at odds of 7-5.
Try as he may, Beltane could only manage second at odds of 9-5. Third was Rundazzle at odds of 56-1. The 4-5 on favourite Seven Eleven was fourth.
