Today’s (May 17) nine-race card will feature the Seeking My Dream Trophy, an Open Allowance thriller for seasoned three-year-olds and up, spanning 7 ½ furlongs.

With heavyweights Commandant, Desert of Malibu, Atomica, and Tiz Tok in attendance, the stage is set for an intense clash. Let’s break down the contenders:

- COMMANDANT – His run in the Ian Levy Cup was disappointing, but his training sessions since then have shown promise. He’s capable of bouncing back, given his blend of stamina and speed.

- RUN JULIE RUN – While she’s not without talent, she faces a formidable field and may struggle to keep up with the frontrunners.

- MOJITO – His last victory was commendable, but repeating that success against this lineup will be a steep challenge.

- DESERT OF MALIBU – Returning to competition after a 144-day hiatus, she last appeared in the Mouttet Mile (December 2024), where she finished unplaced. A fresh start may serve her well, and given her underlying speed and endurance, she could spring a surprise.

- INSPIRE FORCE – Doesn’t seem primed to deliver a major challenge in this contest.

- DIVINE FORCE – His pedigree suggests capability, but his performances tell a different story. Overcoming this field looks improbable.

- ATOMICA – She was a strong runner-up in the Ian Levy Cup and has all the tools to perform at a high level again. Expect her to make a serious bid for victory.

- TIZ TOK – Fourth in the Ian Levy Cup but poised for a much stronger run here. He’s got the class, the talent, and the hunger to shake things up.

- NEO STAR – Not expected to factor into the outcome.

- IS THAT A FACT – Has been showing good form in training. With a solid combination of endurance and speed, he could be the dark horse of the race.
