All Eyes On Debut Foreigner, Impressive Force In Saturday’s (Sept 7) 1st Race

THREE YEAR OLDS FOUR

KINGSTON, Jamaica - The first race on Saturday, September 7, 2024, is a three-year-old call for locally bred non-winners of two, and a maiden for three-year-old foreigners going five furlongs straight.

This event is the first of three races forming part of the jockeys’ championship.

Nine horses, one foreigner and eight locals are entered to compete.

The Quick Galloper’s assessment is given below.

1 - FIRST GRANDSON is a bay colt (February 4) by Casual Trick out of Peyton’s Delight, trained by Patrick Lynch with Arnaldo Bocachica in the saddle. Note, First Grandson races with the blinkers off. Since getting off the mark on January 21, First Grandson has done nothing of worth to suggest that a winning effort is even close.

2 - IMPRESSIVE FORCE is a bay colt (march 1) by Klimt out of Onebadkitty, trained by Philip Feanny with Reyan Lewis riding. This foreigner races for the first time in Jamaica. Impressive Force has caught the eyes of morning exercise observers, with many reporting that he has speed. Has been going well in preparation for his debut.

3 - PRINCE AMAAN is a chestnut colt (February 23) by Sensational Slam out of Fashionista, trained by Anthony Nunes with Tevin Foster aboard. Progressive colt who is quickly gaining the rub of the green in the non-winners of two level. His lone victory to date was achieved over the five straight course, while his last effort, a second-place finish on August 10, was also coming down the straight. Prince Amaan is ready for this outing.

4 - AFFAIR is a bay colt (May 10) by Casual Trick out of Nuclear Affair), trained by Gary Subratie with Omar Walker holding the reins. Note that Affair races with the blinkers off and the cheekpieces on. Was not effective on last (August 6 when racing with the blinkers. Now the blinkers have been removed, which should give Affair a better chance of success.

5 - J SPIETH is a grey colt (March 26) by Spieth out of Alice And Trixie, trained by Patrick Lynch with Raddesh Roman as the designated jockey. Note that J Spieth races with the figure eight on.  Has been a major disappointment as his three-year-old career has not reached the heights anticipated. The best J Spieth can hope for in this one is a place on the board.

6 - DON’T TELL LOU LOU is a bay filly (May 8) by Savoy Stomp out of Lastocka, trained by Howard Bailey with Robert Halledeen aboard. Note that Don’t Tell Lou Lou races with the blinkers odd, and the tongue tie on. Cannot handle these at this time.

7 - DI MIRACLE ANGEL is a chestnut filly (January 4) by Berlino Di Tiger out of Myangel, trained by Robert Pearson with Phillip Parchment riding. Entering non-two for the first time. Needs more time.

8 - SOCIAL MISCHIEF is a bay filly (February 8) by Midnight Hawk out of Morning Glory, trained by Robert Pearson with Oshane Nugent in the saddle. Another who is making a debut in non-two. Can be safely disregarded from winning consideration.

9 - INDESTRUCTIBLE is a bay colt (January 25) by Successful Native out of Rudy Girl, trained by Phillip Elliott with Paul Francis holding the reins. Indestructible will learn from this encounter.
