After pulsating battle, Miss Judy gets the head bob in third

KINGSTON, Jamaican – From the top of the straight, the third race on the Saturday card at Caymanas Park turned out to be a fierce battle involving Miss Judy (Jerome Innis) on the outside and Burlin (Phillip Parchment) on the inside.

With both riders giving no quarter, Miss Judy (3-2) pushed her nose in front to take the nine furlongs and 25 yards Optional Claimer for trainer Paul Charlton and owner Ven Deezle.

Disturbin Di Peace (Roger Hewitt) set off in front when the gates opened and held that position coming down the backstretch with Parchment keeping Burlin locked to the rails and Innis biding his time in mid-pack among the 12 starters.

Disturbin Di Peace took the runners into the lane with Burlin benefitting from space created on the rails while Miss Judy was full of running on the outside.

With both riders digging deep, Miss Judy got the nod to give Innis his sixth winner for the year. Burlin was second with Quora third.

The winning time for the distance was 2:00.1.
