KINGSTON, Jamaica – After making a bright start to his career, racing fans watched as apprentice Reyan Lewis fell from grace with alarming speed.
Lewis has not been riding regularly for the last four to five months but of late has emerged on the scene again and he consummated that return by piloting the Gary Subratie trained Pharoah It Is to victory in a Restricted Allowance 11 contest for three-year-olds non-winners of two. That was the ninth race of 10 on the Sunday programme currently taking place at Caymanas Park.
Elitist (Abbie Able) shot off liked a scared hare in the one-mile journey with Pharoah It Is racing just behind along with a pack of other rivals.
Sticking to the inside rails, Pharoah It Is entered the straight much closer to the leaders but then he coupled up nicely to put away all and sundry.
Gambler ran on strongly to earn second with My Time Now third.
