A ‘Peach’ of a run at 5-1 in Caymanas Saturday third – double for trainer Michael Marlowe

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Dick Cardenas waited until late on Casual Peach in the Caymanas Saturday third to nab 4-5 on favourite Diosa De Oro (Javaniel Patterson).

Casual Peach trained Michael Marlowe, the conditioner’s second winner from three races on the day, won a three-year-old and upwards Optional Claiming ($550,000 - $500,000) call at 7 ½ furlongs.

Milkman (Shane Richardson) set the splits followed closely by Diosa De Oro who took over after three furlongs were completed.

Entering the straight with a sizeable advantage, Diosa De Oro faltered rapidly in the last half-a-furlong as Cardenas flashing the whip in his left hand got up in the nick of time to earn the win.
