Trainer Lorenzo Robinson finally earned his first winner of the year when Awesome Line’s won a Maiden Condition Race on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
The three-year-old bay filly, sired by Midnight Hawk out of South, dominated the native-bred three-year-old field, crossing the finishing line four lengths ahead in a time of 47.2 (23.0) over the four-furlong (800m) dash.
With Paul Country in the irons, Awesome Line broke well at the start, disputing the lead with Cherry Blossom (Victor Sanchez), Blood Moon (Tevin Foster), and Gelroy (Oneil Mullings).
Awesome Line maintained her gallop well, staying with runners for the first for the part of the race before drawing off crossing the dummy rails. Awesome Line then printed home ahead of Blood Moon and Radam (Reyan Lewis).
