KINGSTON, Jamaica – After two odds on favourites in the first two races bit the dust, Ring Charmer restored some sort of parity for punters when winning the Caymanas Saturday third as odds of 4-5.
Ring Charmer a bred in utero bay filly ridden by Dick Cardenas for trainer Patrick Lynch was successful in a three-year-old (fillies only) Maiden Condition call travelling 6 ½ furlongs | Division One.
The grey Unwritten Law (Oshane Nugent) set off in front tracked closely by Ring Charmer. Rounding the final bend Cardenas pushed Ring Charmer on the outside to get closer to the front runner.
In the stretch drive, it was all Ring Charmer who went on to beat Unwritten Law by six lengths. Itz What Itz (Dane Dawkins) was third.
