KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Omar Walker had his best day in the saddle for a while when he completed a triple aboard Father Patrick in the final of 10 races on the Caymanas Park card a short while ago.
Riding for trainer Ian Parsard who was winning his second on the day, Walker waited a bit behind leaders Rojorn Di Pilot and others in the 5 ½ furlongs Overnight Allowance offering.
Then when three furlongs were left, Walker asked Father Patrick and the horse responded with a burst that propelled him to the front and after that he was lonely in the straight.
Wartime came storming home to get second with God of Love third.
The winning time was a fast 1:05.3.
