The seventh race of ten on Saturday, November 7, 2026, marks the annual running of the Temperence Oaks Trophy.

This prestigious Stakes event brings together three-year-old and upward contenders over a distance of 6 ½ furlongs.

Below is The Quick Galloper’s comprehensive breakdown of the six-horse field, evaluated in official draw order.

1 – NAUTICAL STAR (USA)

Closed with a rush too late in his latest outing, finishing just a neck behind at six furlongs. He will be forced to employ similar closing tactics here, as securing the early lead looks highly unlikely. That said, the stretch out to 6 ½ furlongs plays directly into his strengths. Look for Nautical Star to deliver a strong, reliable performance capable of rounding out the exacta.

2 – RAINSVILLE

Appears to be making up the numbers primarily to support a more talented stablemate.

3 – LINGUIST

Typically produces her best efforts when competing at the Overnight Allowance level. Facing this calibre of competition will present a stern test. She may ultimately serve as an early pacesetter or tactical spoiler to assist her more accomplished stable companions.

4 – OF A REVOLUTION (USA)

Like his stablemate Nautical Star, he was chasing Dothraki in his previous six-furlong test, ultimately finishing a competitive third and only a quarter-length behind the winner. He tasted victory as recently as September 26, 2026, in an Overnight Allowance over this exact distance. He will need to bring his absolute A-game to secure top honours.

5 – FUNCAANDUN (USA)

Has struggled to find his footing across his last three starts. Returning to a more preferred 6 ½-furlong trip, his connections are banking on the addition of blinkers to spark a turnaround.

6 – LEGACY ISLE (USA)

Following a hat-trick of impressive victories, he suffered an off-day when finishing ninth in the Diamond Mile, trailing winner Phenomenal Power by 18 lengths. As a natural sprinter, the cutback to 6 ½ furlongs suits him to perfection. Freshened up following a 105-day layoff, this overseas contender is primed for a big run and should use his early speed to dictate terms right to the wire.
