Four horses, all two-year-olds will make their first raceday appearance in the second race of 10 on Saturday, October 31, 2026.

The event is a two-year-old Maiden Special Weight run on Announcers’ Day in recognition of simulcast announcer, Anthony Tyson. The distance is 4 ½ furlongs.

The Quick Galloper’s take on the possible outcome is shared below in draw order.

1 - BENNETTA

Bay filly (April 14) by Sensational Slam out of Cerasini

Trainer – Rohan Crichton

Jockey – Raddesh Roman

Equipment – First time Lasix

Enters the competitive fray with the champion jockey aboard, is well-prepared for her first outing with several gallops already in her hoofs. Based on these exercise spins, Bennetta is expected to put in a good effort.

2 – POP ROCKET

Grey filly (March 15) by Successful Native out of Salvation

Trainer – Philip Feanny

Jockey – Ian Spence

Equipment Change – Figure 8 on

Has the benefit of a previous effort on August 8, finishing third behind Boss Over Boss and future winner Sooryavanshi at three furlongs. In that first run, Pop Rocket was running on, making the extra furlong and a half, to her liking. Pop Rocket is the one to beat with the figure 8 on.

3 - SHEER MIDNIGHT

Grey filly (April 29) by Midnight Hawk out of Sheer Madness

Trainer – Rohan Crichton

Jockey – Tajay Suckoo

Equipment – Visor, tongue tie and first time Lasix

This debutante has caught the eyes of morning onlookers, who are reporting that Sheer Midnight is seemingly the better of the two entries from the Crichton stables. Has to be respected.

4 - CLOCKY TEE

Bay colt (January 11) by Bern Identity out of Miss Formality

Trainer – Davidan Robinson

Jockey – Chalrick Budhai

This newcomer has been moving fairly well in the mornings. The learning experience starts for Clocky Tee.

5 – MANDY

Chestnut filly (May 16) by Whiskey Double out of Lady Blue

Trainer – Jason DaCosta

Jockey – Tevin Foster

The most experienced of this lot with four starts. Mandy has a bit of speed and might be the one they have to catch.

6 – YEET

Bay filly (February 25) by Kettle Corn out of Runallday

Trainer – Anthony Nunes

Jockey – Shane Richardson

Equipment Change – Blinkers off

In her one start to date, Yeet was way behind winner Boss Over Boss. She was then nominated to race on September 12, but was withdrawn as a late non-starter. Needs more time, with hopefully the removal of blinkers will  assist.

7 - BOUGAINVILLEA

Bay filly (March 31) by Savoy Stomp out of Artesia

Trainer – Richard Azan

Jockey – Omar Walker

Bougainvillea has been working well in anticipation of her debut. This filly has shown encouraging signs in the mornings, with a good first effort on the cards.
