KINGSTON, Jamaica – The talk is that when a horse trained by Gary Subratie puts down good times on the exercise track then look out. This because Subratie is known not to stretch his charges in the mornings.
Another Affair, a full sister to former 1000 Guineas winner Nuclear Affair, did just that – she worked well then humbled her 14 rivals going 6 ½ furlongs (three-year-olds non-winners of two) in scintillating fashion to win the day’s 10th race at Caymanas Park.
The red-hot reinsman Dane Dawkins sent Another Affair into the lead at the off from the number 15 drawn and from then on it was a procession. Another Affair won by 9 ½ lengths in a good time of 1:19.3. Another Affair (8-1) trained by Gary Subratie and owned by leading owner Michros gave Dawkins his third winner on today’s programme.
King Arthur was second with foreigner Best Daughter Ever third.
