KINGSTON, Jamaica – The two-year-old racing season continued its momentum on Saturday, September 26, 2026, headlined by a dominant performance from newcomer Big Stack. Following in the hoof steps of his stablemate Birthday King, the brown colt became the second foreign-bred juvenile to capture a victory this season.

Bred by Drain The Clock out of Tahaweel, Big Stack was dispatched in a six-horse field under the guidance of jockey Robert Halledeen for trainer Jason DaCosta. Breaking cleanly from the gates, the juvenile initially favoured an outer path, drifting toward the middle portion of the track, followed closely by stable companion Glama Girl (ridden by Garvin Harris).

The decisive move came as the field passed the dummy rails in the four-furlong call. Finding his best stride, Big Stack responded immediately to Halledeen's cues and unleashed a surge, effortlessly pulling away from the competition to seal an authoritative 8 ¾-length victory.

Glama Girl held on for second, followed by Awhodat under Tevin Foster in third, leading a remarkable one-two-three-four finish for the DaCosta barn. Big Stack stopped the timers in a relatively relaxed 48.4 seconds for the four-furlong sprint, opening with an initial sectional split of 24.2 seconds. Despite the modest time, the visual impression of his decisive victory signals a possible bright future ahead for the young colt.
