Rebounding from her heavy defeat in the Jamaica Oaks, three-year-old filly Lexi Lou resorted to a front-running speed to capture the Titania Trophy feature race at Caymanas Park on Sunday, September 20, 2026.
Trained by Gary Subratie and ridden with supreme confidence by Dane Dawkins, the daughter of Aveenu Malcainu out of Herroyalhighness wasted zero time asserting her authority in a three-year-old non-two contest travelling 5 ½ furlongs.
Stepping out from the stalls at the start, Lexi Lou took command immediately, establishing an early lead over initial chasers One Ianzha Links (Reyan Lewis) and Pippa (Tajay Suckoo). Cruising through initial split times of 24.0 and 48.3 seconds for the first four furlongs, the filly showed no signs of slowing down as she carved out the journey on her own terms.
Pippa made a brief challenge approaching the quarter-pole, closing the gap to a single length and threatening to make a race of it. However, the threat was swiftly neutralized. Dawkins simply offered a nudge of the reins, and Lexi Lou responded instantly, dropping into another gear and surging clear down the homestretch.
She dominated the final furlong in isolated glory, passing the finish post an easy 4 ¼-length winner while hand-ridden to the wire in a sharp time of 1:08.3.
Omar Walker produced Minnehaha with a late closing run to secure the runner-up spot, while Midnight Traveller, under Garvin Lewis, stayed on for third. Neither ever threatened the winner, who marked an emphatic return to form following her stamina-testing effort over 10 furlongs on August 1.
