After breaking cleanly and seizing the lead early as expected, Victorious Links faced an intense mid-race bid from Giving Thanks, who swept around the bend to take control.
Unfazed, Foster kept his composure, coaxed a strong response from his mount in the home straight, and rallied back to reclaim the advantage. Once back in front, Victorious Links surged away from the field to secure a decisive win for trainer Lawrence Freemantle.
