The Gerry Skelton Memorial Trophy, is the feature event on Saturday’s 10-race card on September 12, 2026.
This event pays honours the legacy of legendary champion trainer Gerry Skelton.

He boasts a strong affinity for the five-furlong straight, having won three of her four career starts over the track. While his debut in this class was encouraging, he may still need a little more time to fully acclimatize to this level.
3 - PEPPER STEPPER
This talented foreign-bred runner makes his first appearance on the straight course in seven starts. A proven speedball, he is expected to burst out of the gates and dictate terms early, even while tackling Overnight Allowance company for the first time. Carrying a career-low weight of 112 lbs, this significant light handicap assignment will strongly aid his bid to lead them all the way.
4 - SALUTE THE DON
After competing exclusively in age-group company, highlighted by a Classic victory in the 2000 Guineas, Salute The Don steps out of conditions racing to face open company for the very first time. Crossing paths with seasoned campaigners marks the beginning of a sharp learning curve for this promising three-year-old colt.
5 - OF A REVOLUTION
Finished a disappointing 4th behind Pack Plays in the recent high-grade None Such Sprint over 6 furlongs. Stepping down in class today, he encounters significantly lighter opposition. The primary question mark surrounding his attempt at a third victory in Jamaica is the course itself, as he has only raced over the straight once in nine career starts.
6 - SHE’S THAT GIRL
Possesses natural early speed and will look to seize control of the pace right from the break. If the rest of the field allows her to establish a comfortable rhythm unchallenged up front, she could prove extremely difficult to run down in the closing furlong.
7 - ZULU WARRIOR
Stands out as one of the most reliable and consistent campaigners in the Overnight Allowance division. He has repeatedly proven his effectiveness over the 5-furlong straight course, and given his dependable track record, he must be given a major chance of landing the victory.
8 - GOODBYE FIREFLY (USA)
Arrives at this trophy race riding the momentum of two consecutive victories in high-end claiming company. However, stepping up to face a significantly tougher calibre of rivals here makes this a steep hill to climb; expecting a win seems unlikely.
9 - COMMANDER Z (USA)
Pulled off a shock at 11-1 odds in his last outing on August 8. While he has proven his capabilities over the straight course, repeating that winning formula against a field of this quality would require another out-of-character performance. Not expected to double up today.
10 - BULLETPROOFCOFFEE (USA)
Has developed a clear fondness for the straight track, competing effectively over this exact distance in five of her last eight starts. Her last trip to the winner's enclosure dates back to September 25, 2025. Although she benefits from drawing out wide in post 10, she will need a truly superb effort to top this line-up.
11 - TEFLON DON
Has failed to make an impression since his last victory back on March 21 over this five-furlong straight trip. Given his recent subpar form, he is difficult to recommend.
12 - MISS MONEYPENNY
Maintains a solid run of consistent form and lands the coveted high-outside post position, which is often a major advantage on the straight track. She packs plenty of early foot, but in a race packed with recognized speedsters, she will need to time her run perfectly. Definitely one to keep a close eye on.
