Apprentice jockey Jaheim Anderson extended his strong current form on Saturday, August 15, 2026, by riding two winners on the 10-race card at Caymanas Park, raising his season win total to 23 and securing eighth place in the overall jockeys' championship standings.
Anderson opened his riding double in the third race aboard Native Alliance for trainer Paul Sawby before completing the two-timer in the feature 10th race with Linguist for trainer Anthony "Baba" Nunes.
Native Alliance, a five-year-old bay horse by Successful Native out of Water Wave, achieved his victory in a Restricted Allowance V event for native-bred five-year-olds and upward non-winners of two, along with imported five-year-old and upward maidens, over 7 furlongs (1,400 meters). Making every yard of the running, Native Alliance scored by 3 ½ lengths over Secret Mission, ridden by Emelio McLean, with Planner, under Richie Shakes, taking third in a final time of 1:30.3 after fractions of 24.3, 48.3, and 1:16.0.
Anderson capped off the day in the afternoon's finale, driving Linguist, an offspring of Aveenu Malcainu out of Bilingual, to a dominant 3 ½-length victory in the Trevor McKenzie Memorial Trophy over 5 furlongs straight.
