Conditioned by trainer Gary Subratie, the native-bred three-year-old comfortably captured a maiden event over nine furlongs and 25 yards (1,820 meters) by 4 ¾ lengths, stopping the clock in 1:58.4 following splits of 26.0, 49.4, 1:14.4, and 1:43.0.
Guided by jockey Reyan Lewis, Crown Court tracked the early pace from third position behind initial leaders El Capiton, under Tyrese Anderson, and Revelation, ridden by Jordan Barrett, navigating the clubhouse turn onto the main track.
Crown Court held his position along the backstretch before moving up to challenge for second entering the half-mile turn while El Capiton pushed forward to command the lead.
Turning into the deep stretch, as El Capiton began to weaken, Lewis angled Crown Court outward to launch his challenge. The colt responded immediately, pulling away to secure a convincing win.
El Capiton held on to finish second, while D.O.K, ridden by Shane Richardson, rounded out the top three. The breakthrough victory pushed Crown Court's career earnings toward the $1 million mark.
