The seventh race on Monday, May 25, 2026, is the seven-furlong Labour Day Trophy.

This traditional holiday feature is staged at the Overnight Allowance level for horses three years old and upward.

Nine runners have been declared, and The Quick Galloper provides a detailed assessment of each contender below in draw order.

1 – UNRULY MO

Unruly Mo has struggled to make an impact since reaching Overnight Allowance. In his last eight appearances across varying trips, he has failed to finish in the top three, a worrying trend for his connections. In an attempt to spark improvement, the figure 8 has been applied. His recent form suggests he must show dramatic turnaround to be competitive.

2 – SUPREMASI

Supremasi returns to racing after a lengthy break of 96 days. His last effort came on February 18 over 6 ½ furlongs at this same level, where he finished ninth, beaten 13 lengths by Wall Street Trader. Since then, he has been prepared steadily, with a five-furlong exercise clocking of 1:00.3 on May 18. Supremasi is capable of better, but given the layoff and his last performance, he will need to be sharp from the start and sustain his effort throughout to have a meaningful say in the outcome.

3 – MARK MY IDENTITY

Mark My Identity has proven to be one of the more reliable performer, as since stepping into Overnight Allowance on December 21, 2025, he has held his own in seven starts, consistently showing up with honest efforts. His progression is a credit to his handlers, as few from his three-year-old crop have managed to reach this grade. The seven-furlong distance suits him well, and his consistency makes him a genuine threat, particularly for those considering exotic wagers.

4 – NAUTICAL STAR

Nautical Star reappears after being away from competition for 128 days. This six-year-old brown horse is highly regarded, and his last run-on January 17 was a commanding nine-length victory at six furlongs in Overnight Allowance, defeating Champion Bubbler and Mark My Identity with authority. That performance stamped him as a horse of real quality. If he returns in good condition, Nautical Star has the class and ability to dominate this field, and he is expected to be the one they all have to beat.

5 – THE SOUL WARRIOR

The Soul Warrior has taken a long road to reach this level, requiring 48 starts to notch the required four wins. His perseverance has finally earned him a place in Overnight Allowance, and this will be his first attempt at the grade. While his record suggests he is more of a grinder than a flashy performer, this race marks the beginning of a new chapter in his career. He will need to adapt quickly to the higher standard of competition if he is to make an impression.

6 – DIVINE FORCE

Divine Force showed signs of progress in his last start on May 10, finishing fourth, only 2 ¼ lengths behind the winner. That effort was encouraging, but the calibre of opposition in this Labour Day Trophy is stronger. He has potential to improve further, but on current evidence, Divine Force may find himself outclassed when the pressure mounts in the stretch run.

7 – PROVIDENT

Provident has not been displaying the kind of form required to contend effectively at this level. His recent performances have been below par, and unless he finds significant improvement, he is unlikely to trouble the principals in this race.

8 – AMERICAN AVIATOR

American Aviator produced a strong effort in his last start at nine furlongs, where he was narrowly beaten by a head at the wire. That run demonstrated his ability to handle the pace and stamina demands of Overnight Allowance, with this being his third start at the grade. He has shown he belongs in this company and will be a factor again. While he may not get an uncontested lead this time, his proven determination ensures he will be involved when the race is decided.

9 – THE GENERAL

The General is expected to give his best effort, but based on recent form and the strength of the opposition, he appears outmatched. He is likely to be left behind when the race reaches its decisive stages.
