Champion jockey at the Century Mile in Canada, Dane Nelson started his 2026 campaign with a victory in the fourth of eight races on Saturday, May 2.
Nelson won on the Gonzalo Anderson trained Crusher Royale in five furlongs Allowance call for three-year-old and up horses.
The post-race report reads as follows: “CRUSHER ROYALE hustled to the front, set a pressured pace in the far turn, then turned back a challenge in the straight before achieving the win.”
