It’s Reggae time at the track on Saturday, May 2.

The Reggae Trophy is a   Graded Stakes/Open Allowance for three-year-olds and upward horse.

The distance of Reggae Trophy is five furlongs coming down the straight.

Six horses have been entered to contest the Reggae Trophy with The Quick Galloper’s analysis done in draw order.

1 - PACK PLAYS (USA)

Finished well behind Rideallday in the record-breaking Ian Levy Trophy contested over 8 ½ furlongs. Pack Plays is always better off sprinting and will relish the shortening of the distance. The one draw should not be a hindrance given that there are only six entered. Has to be respected especially with the apprentice claiming two kilogrammes

2 - ANOTHER ONE

A true lover of the straight chute. Another One faces his toughest task to date Loves the 5-furlong straight course but is outclassed here. Chance: No match for these.

 3 - MONEY MARKET

Money Market is fit as a fiddle at present. Very consistent runner who has already won over this trip. Won over the straight as recently as February 14.

His form alone will make Money Market competitive.

4 - LEGACY ISLE (USA)

Legacy Isle makes his long-awaited return to competitive racing having last raced on December 27, 2025 in the Chris Armond Sprint at 5½ furlongs (1,100m), winning by 10 lengths in 1:04.2. Has been training well coming into this race and should brush aside the competition. Legacy Isle is easily among the top four horses currently. Should win easily win watchers eyes firmly fixed on the clock.

5 - MIGHTY GULLY

This four-year-old bay filly has done exceptionally well to reach Open Allowance. Her last two successes were achieved on the straight course. Will again put in a performance of worth especially with the light weight.

6 - RAINSVILLE

A filler for his more illustrious stablemate, Legacy Isle.
