The 2026 Hotline Stakes is scheduled to be run on Saturday, March 21, 2026.
The six-furlong contest for three-year-old fillies is acknowledged as the first significant preparatory race for the much sought-after Classic engagements.
In the 2025 renewal of The Hotline, six runners went to post.
The Quick Galloper reflects on the progress, or lack thereof, of those six participants. This review is presented in finishing order.
FIRST – SOCIAL AVIATOR
After her victory in The Hotline, she followed up with a close second in the Thornbird, beaten by Hansa. Social Aviator then confirmed her progressive profile by winning the 7 ½ furlongs Portmore. Sadly, injury struck when she contested the 1000 Guineas, finishing last. Since then, her racing career has unfortunately come to an end.
SECOND – DANKA
Following her runner-up effort in The Hotline, Danka secured third place in the Thornbird behind stablemate Hansa and Social Aviator. In The Portmore, she finished sixth. Since then, Danka has continued to compete through the ranks, reaching the level of non-winners of four races from 17 starts, amassing close to $3.5 million in earnings.
THIRD – LADY BABITA
She showed promise when finishing third, but her racing career was curtailed due to health issues. Lady Babita now resides on the breeding farm.
FOURTH – SIMPLY ENCHANTING
Little of note has occurred for Simply Enchanting.
FIFTH – MIGHTY GULLY
Mighty Gully progressed through her conditions to reach the Overnight Allowance level. The Robert Pearson-trained filly went on to win at that grade on 6 December 2025. Mighty Gully boasts a career record of five wins from 16 starts, with earnings approaching $4.5 million. She stands as a credit to her connections.
SIXTH – ENTHUSIASM
Still hanging around with nothing much to show for her exploits.
