Storm, the seasoned eleven-year-old bay gelding by Natural Selection out of All For Pleasure, once again proved his mettle on Saturday, March 7, 2026, when he notched his 16th career victory from 61 starts.
Competing in a $700,000–$600,000 claiming call over 7 ½ furlongs, Storm, this time under the conditioning of Adrian Prince and partnered by champion jockey Raddesh Roman. Pressed from the outset, he summoned his trademark grit to repel challengers before striding clear to score by 2 ½ lengths.
The Soul Warrior, with Tajay Suckoo aboard, chased valiantly but had to settle for second, while Tigeramedat, ridden by Demar Williams, filled the third spot. The clock stopped at 1:37.1, with sectional splits of 24.1, 47.4, 1:15.1, and 1:29.4.
This latest triumph marks Storm’s fifth win in his last eight outings, a sequence that included a four-race streak before defeat at the hoofs of The General. Storm’s consistency and resilience have now carried him past the $9 million earnings mark.
Unsurprisingly, Storm’s performance sparked keen interest at the claiming box, with no fewer than five claims lodged for the gelding.
