After chasing home the highly regarded foreign raider Of A Revolution in the US$100,000 Bruceontheloose Sprint on December 6, 2025, Money Market bounced back in emphatic style with a commanding performance in the Boxing Day Sprint on Friday, December 26.

Trained by Gary Subratie and partnered by Dane Dawkins, the chestnut gelding dominated the Overnight Allowance event over 6½ furlongs, pulling clear to score by 2¼ lengths in a time of 1:20.0 (splits: 23.4, 48.2, 1:13.3). Supremasi (ridden by Dane Nelson) chased home in second, while Huntsman (Jaheim Anderson) secured third.

Subratie expressed satisfaction with his charge’s rebound effort:

“He came out of the Bruceontheloose Sprint three weeks ago in good order, so I decided to bring him back here. Dropping down in class to Overnight Allowance made this race ideal for him,” Subratie explained.

He credited Dawkins for executing the winning strategy:

“Dane knows the horse inside out. In the past, he would sit close but not finish strongly. We tried something different in the Bruceontheloose Sprint—holding him off the pace and saving his run—and it worked. We stuck to that plan today, and he delivered beautifully.”

Money Market settled comfortably off the early fractions, tracking Commander Z (Tajay Suckoo), A Gift From Ben, Huntsman, and Supremasi down the backstretch. Approaching the half-mile (800m) marker, Dawkins angled him wide, sweeping into third behind A Gift From Ben and Huntsman.

Once straightened for home, Money Market unleashed a decisive burst, surging past rivals with authority to claim the Boxing Day Sprint with ease. The victory marked his second win from 12 starts this season.

Money Market is bred by Successful Native out of Soca Dancer.
