The Jamaica Racing Commission wishes to inform all stakeholders that, in accordance with our established policies, we will no longer utilize the term "culling." - Horses of any age reported by the Commission’s or Track’s Veterinarians as being chronically lame, posing a risk to their safety, the safety of their riders, and the safety of other horses and riders during races.
- Retirement Deadline:

Your appeal must include a report from your attending veterinarian indicating that the horse in question is racing sound and capable of being competitive (except the Commission’s and Track Veterinarian).
Upon receipt of this information, the Commission’s Veterinarians will assess the horse and, along with the Stewards, provide reports to the General Manager. This report will be used for the Board of Commissioners’ final decision. The outcome of this process will be communicated to you and the promoter.
