Trainer Rohan Crichton got a boost before the participation of his charge, Legacy Isle in the 2025 staging of the Mouttet Mile set for next Saturday (December 6), by scoring a double today (Nov 29) at Gulfstream Park in Florida.
Crichton’s first winner came in race three with Global Aviator, ridden by Joe Bravo.
The post-race report reads as follows: “GLOBAL AVIATOR walked out of the gate and had to motivated to get into stride while moving to the outside while trailing, made a huge five wide move on the turn and moved in leaving the turn while gaining a short lead leaving the three sixteenths, then had enough left to hold on late to prove best, driving.
Crichton sealed his double with number eight in race four, Ababajoni ridden by his compatriot, Anthony Thomas.
The post-race report reads as follows: “ABABAJONI pressed the pace from the outside and made a three wide bid on the turn to gain a short lead and then kicked clear leaving the turn and then held on late to prevail under a drive.”
