The tenth race on Saturday, November 22, 2025, is Division Two of the feature on the day, the Racehorse Aftercare Trophy.
This trophy event is for three-year-olds and upward horses at the Overnight Allowance level. The distance is five furlongs straight.
Ten horses are entered in Division Two, with the Quick Galloper’s assessment of the possible outcome is provided below.
1 – MINIATURE MAN
Once a Classic-winning three-year-old, Miniature Man now returns at seven years of age after nearly two years away from competitive racing. The layoff is significant, and while his past class is undeniable, the question remains whether he retains enough sharpness to contend at this level. This outing appears more of an exploratory mission by connections than a genuine tilt at victory.
2 – MAJOR DANGER
Transferred to a new barn and equipped with blinkers, Major Danger is a seasoned campaigner who has not tasted success for some time. Nevertheless, his consistency is admirable. His last effort over this exact trip on June 8 saw him finish third behind Chocomo and Prince Amaan. He is well positioned to make his presence felt and must be considered a live contender.
3 – TRAIN OF THOUGHT
Still finding his feet at the Overnight Allowance level but lacks the seasoning required to trouble hardened rivals. Improvement is needed before he can be seriously considered.
4 – J SPIETH
Operating out of his depth.
5 – LABAN
Returning from an eight-month absence, Laban is unlikely to be fully tuned for this assignment. He will benefit from the run, and while his ability is not in doubt, more time is required.
6 – FLORINDIA
With one win from five starts, Florindia enters with notable equipment changes – tongue tie and figure eight on – which could sharpen his performance. His recent work has been encouraging, suggesting he may deliver a much-improved showing. A potential dark horse in the line-up.
7 – CHAMPION BUBBLER
Back in his preferred class and over his favoured distance, Champion Bubbler looks primed for another strong effort. His record over the straight five is impressive, and conditions align perfectly for him to mount a serious challenge. A leading player.
8 – ATLANTIC CONVOY
Form has dipped in recent times, yet Atlantic Convoy retains enough natural ability to be dangerous if rediscovering his best. He is not without hope, though consistency is a concern.
9 – PRINCE AMAAN
A model of consistency at this level, Prince Amaan thrives over five furlongs straight and benefits from the advantageous outside draw. With visor and tongue tie applied, he is expected to be a major factor and could well prove the one to beat.
10 - A GIFT FROM BEN
One for the minor placing.
THE QUICK GALLOPER’S VERDICT
Division One of the Racehorse Aftercare Trophy presents a fascinating mix of returning veterans, improving youngsters, and proven specialists. Miniature Man’s comeback is intriguing but likely premature for success. Major Danger and Florindia are both capable of springing surprises, while Champion Bubbler is ideally placed to deliver another straight-course triumph. Prince Amaan, whose consistency, draw, and equipment changes combine to make him a significant factor.
