Rush of Class, a three-year-old colt trained by Dalton Sirjue and ridden by Omar Walker, secured his first career win on Saturday, October 11, 2025, in a seven-furlong maiden event at Caymanas Park.

The victory came in his third start and marked a clear step forward for the Bern Identity–Princess Lorna progeny.

Drawn widest in a field of 11, Rush of Class was sent to the lead early and maintained control throughout. Wearing blinkers for the first time, he separated himself from the field in the final two furlongs, crossing the finish line 14¼ lengths ahead of the even-money favourite Good Conscience. Modern Monarch finished third.

Rush of Class had previously signalled potential with runner-up finishes on debut (August 9) and again on August 23. His progress was briefly interrupted when he was declared a late non-starter on October 4 with the official reason given as lameness. However, he returned one week later to deliver a convincing performance.

The win was trainer Sirjue’s third for the season from 31 starters. For jockey Walker, it was his 10th success of the year.
