The foreign-bred surge continued on Saturday, September 20, 2025, as Rideallday delivered an eye-catching performance in the Open Allowance sprint over 5½ furlongs, further cementing the dominance of imported talent on local soil.
Tracking the legacy of fellow standouts like Supernatural Power, Legacy Isle, Barnaby, Funcaandun, Girvano, and Pack Plays among others, Rideallday stopped the clock in a brisk 1:05.4, with sectional splits of 23.4, 48.0, and 1:00.0.
Despite a troubled start, jockey Ian Spence kept his composure, allowing the colt to find his rhythm. Settling in fourth as the field entered the half-mile turn, Rideallday trailed Money Market (Dane Dawkins), who set the early fractions.
But as the runners straightened for home, Rideallday unleashed a devastating turn of foot, sweeping past rivals with ease. Money Market held on for second, while Fearless Force (Raddesh Roman) rallied late to secure third.
“He didn’t break so wonderful at the off. A horse came over and got me out of the race a little bit,” Spence explained. “I didn’t panic; I just let him settle and waited for him to get into his groove. He has a tremendous turn of foot.”
