KINGSTON, Jamaica – Five newbies will begin their racing careers on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
Of the lot of five, four are three-year-old, and there is one US bred six-year-old.
MOONLIGHT SONG is a three-year-old grey filly (march 9) by Midnight Hawk out of Miracle River, trained by Patrick Fong with Teneca Wolfe holding the reins.
FORTUNATE BLESSING is a three-year-old bay filly (May 14) by Northern Giant out of Like A lady, trained by Donovan Plummer with Paul Francis aboard.
BADBADTANESHA is a three-year-old chestnut filly (April 18) by Berlino Di Tiger out of Aguila, trained by Robert Ffrench with Garvin Harris in the saddle.
THE LEVITICUS is a three-year-old chestnut filly (February 5) by Here Comes Ben out of Special Report, trained by Robert Pearson with Shane Richardson riding.
STRIKE HARD is a six-year-old grey horse (USA) by Flashback out of Coco’s Sweetie, trained by Matthew Williams with Shane Ellis as the designated jockey. Note that Strike Hard has raced 14 times, with three, finishing second on three occasions and third once. In his career, Strike Hard has earned $182,443. Racing mostly at Gulfstream Park, Strike Hard achieved his last victory on May 6, 2022. Strike Hard arrived in Jamaica approximately two months ago.
