The following is a tribute to Don Wehby Jr by Willie's Racing Stables Ltd
It was a true honour to have known the incomparable Don Wehby.
To have his trust and confidence in taking care of his horses will be a privilege we are forever grateful for.
Among the many legacies left behind by this nation builder, corporate titan, generous philanthropist, avid sportsman, dedicated family man and friend is his contribution to the thoroughbred breed in Jamaica.
This is led by his stallion Aveenu Malcainu, who from his first crop of three-year-olds this year has produced a Jamaica Oaks winner and is expected to further leave his mark on the industry.
We regret Don won't be with us to see it and he won't be able to stand in the winners’ circle with us but we know he will be smiling down on us as the Oakridge Farms legacy continues. Willie's Racing Stables Limited offers its deepest condolences to his family and friends.
